PRESS RELEASE

RX1200 Free 1.1 Update

RX1200 12-bit Sampler Instrument

Paris, November 10th, 2024

Inphonik announces the release of the free 1.1 update for the RX1200 12-bit Sampler Instrument for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

After the release of the RX1200 12-bit Sampler Instrument based on the E-mu SP-1200, and aiming to replicate the distinctive grit, crunch, and warmth of the legendary hardware counterpart, Inphonik publishes the long-time awaited 1.1 free update.

This update is focused on adding productivity features, addressing broken sample links issues, and fixing bugs. It also introduces the first of a series of free additional presets and samples collections for the RX1200.

After receiving a lot of user feedback, Inphonik added the features that were most requested.

Right-clicking on the pads spawns a new contextual menu. The copy/duplicate pad feature allows samples or pad settings to be duplicated on another pad, a bank, or all pads. This number 1 most requested feature will speed up the sample slicing operation and sound settings experimentation.

The new start/end markers and fade-in/out markers in the sample editor will help sculpt the samples and attenuate the clicks experienced in some situations. The sample editor also adds an animated play-head to make sample crafting easier.

Another productivity feature is the option to select the active pad by MIDI. Instead of clicking the pads to make them active before applying parameters, this option makes it faster by pressing the key of MIDI controllers.

Much work has been done to handle the broken sample links in the RX1200. With the 1.1 update, the RX1200 will detect missing samples and mark them with alert icons on the target pads. To help the user find the missing resource, the RX1200 will display the missing file name and path in the sample editor.

The 1.1 update also introduces the first of a series of free additional sound collections crafted by Inphonik. Installed by a download service built into the RX1200, the Ambient collection is a free package that adds 25 presets and 100 samples to the RX1200. Inphonik also provides the collection as a zip file on the RX1200 product page for users who want to install it on offline computers.

Finally, the update fixes many bugs.

The RX1200 free 1.1 update is available today. A download link is automatically sent to all users by email.
